More on the pile

The Spumoni Socks (most of one ball of Trekking XXL, no. 2 Clover bamboo DPNs, normal sock pattern, about five weeks to finish entirely), photographed for your blogly pleasure. They're the most comfortable pair I own to date, and they wash up nice and soft (stick 'em in the washer on cold, lay 'em out flat to dry). Next up on this score are the Italian Socks:
This is the wool I picked up in Italy, and I'm using the same pattern for these that I did on the Spumoni Socks. They're for the Emperor.

On top of this I'm almost finished with the embroidery for the Pineapple Candlewick Pillow. Over the weekend I bought a pillow form, and the minute, the second I've finished the stitching I'm going to wash all the parts, get 'em pressed, and sew the whole thing together and throw it on the guest room bed... and go downstairs and get another embroidery project out to finish.

This weekend I also bought a bunch of those little cards one winds embroidery floss with, and got all of my loose skeins of floss identified, wound up, and stored. It's been hoot after hoot, I tell ya.

Speaking of hoots, this weekend we also rented Rush Hour 3, mostly because I sort of have a thing for Jackie Chan. But, ghaah! Most of the movie was embarassingly stupid. Luckily I had something to embroider or it would have been a complete waste of time, as opposed to just a partial waste of time. Ghaah!
