Dash in, dash out again

There he is, that's the best I can do. That's Ferdinand, my beautiful bull. I've been carrying my camera with me since my last post, hoping that the rancher would let the herd into the field closer to the road, but he hasn't yet. The other animals in the picture are full-sized horses, by the way, so you can see how Ferdinand is.
I've been so busy it isn't even funny. I had an important job interview last week, and although I feel good about it I still won't let myself get too confident about my position relative to the other applicants. The Emperor of the Garage, meanwhile, has decided that he's going to retire from work altogether on May 13, which is good news for both of us; his job had been really stressful for the past three years and it's about to become more stressful. I'm not sure I feel sorry for whomever they find to take his place -- there isn't any way they can truly replace him.
No real knitting has been going on more complex than dishcloths, although I have ordered a pattern and three skeins of Himalayan recycled silk yarn for a funky scarf. I've got some summer knitting in the lineup, however, for when I have time to think about something besides what I'm supposed to be doing or worrying about what I've forgotten to do!
