Just so's you know, I have been working on the Jupiter cardigan, and I've actually knit about an inch since last week. But hey! That's an inch more than I've done in a long time. At this rate, I might actually finish the thing before school starts in the fall.
Yesterday was the last day of classes, so the only things between me and summer break are stacks of papers to grade, and then Wednesday there will be stacks of finals to grade. Then, there will be grades to calculate, record, and then submit. Oh, and one graduation ceremony.
Last week I finally got onto the course development calendar and met with an "instructional designer" to create an online class that is on the schedule for this coming fall. Having gone through this process before, I knew what they were going to want me to do for the first several weeks -- and came with about half of the work, eight week's worth, already finished. I knew exactly how many units I wanted and exactly what I wanted to do with each, and even came armed with questions about new ways to accomplish a particular goal. I'm sure it was a nice surprise for the designer. My plan is to have this course built and ready to launch before the end of this month, because June is going to be taken up with getting an article out to a publisher and I'll be busy in July with family stuff. And knitting. And taking another stab at organizing the craft room. Watch -- I'll get it all just the way I want it, and that's when we'll find the perfect house for us, at a price we can afford.
