Very simple

So... it turns out that the answer has been there all along, and was so simple I feel a little foolish.  After making that last post, I did try to get out and do some walking and before very long, became "all stove up" as my husband says.  That muscle in my backside really started giving me grief, and I became slightly desperate.  Suddenly, it occurred to me that when people have pain they take stuff for it, and I thought for a bit about what people do when their muscles hurt: they take ibuprophen.  Motrin.  Head smack!  So I went to the store, got some Motrin, and have taken one every night before bed for three days.

The back problem is almost completely solved.  There are still a few tweaky moments every now and then, but the problem is solved enough that I can walk for more than a few minutes at a time, and start getting a little bit of exercise.  Today I'll go out and see how much I can walk in my new tennis shoes before the tweaks start becoming bad.

Sometimes I amaze myself at how dense I can be about such simple things, but I hate taking medicine of any kind, so it's the last thing that comes to mind as a solution.

I am also amazed at myself in that I contacted a real estate agent and will go look at the two houses we've been interested in, later today.  Well, ain't this new year full of surprises!
