This is a bit of the front detail of the Climbing Vines Pullover from Interweave Knits (Winter 2008). The back is finished, and I'm about a third of the way through the front, which is not bad progress for having started this on July 29. It's a fun and satisfying knit, and I'm looking forward to wearing the result. Meanwhile, the second Denimy Sock has a turned heel now and will likely be finished in the next week or two, depending on how energetic I am (or how much time I spend sitting in waiting rooms). I'm already eyeballing my stash to decide which of my two striped yarns will be the next sock for the to-go bag.
Our weather has continued to be cloudy and cold, and we even had frost yesterday morning. My tomatoes and cucumbers weren't damaged, but I did spend the day in a sweatshirt shivering. The Emperor and I have gotten our wool blanket back out of the closet for our bed because it's been too cold to sleep without one. Usually around here they say "don't blink or you'll miss it" about spring and fall, but this year we've either missed summer, or it hasn't arrived yet and if we blink we'll miss it. So everybody in town is keeping their eyes open. I hear that there has been summer in other places, so maybe it will slide over in this direction later.
