These are my finished slippers of a few weeks ago. I purchased leather soles for them, but the soles were not even remotely close to the correct size (it was hard to gauge). Are the soles necessary? Oh, yeah, they sure are because you build up huge amounts of static electricity in only a few steps in these babies! If soles won't cut this phenomenon down, I'd have to change my name to Lightning Fingers!
Below is my first Chocolate Mint Sock, meant for The Emperor. This one seems to be knitting up quickly; what I ought to do is put the pair away for Christmas when I've finished them. The Emperor won't notice and won't even think about it until he unwraps them.
There is not much else going on of note. I'm still working a lot and haven't had much time to do anything interesting recently. We have been talking about planning a trip to England in the spring, between the spring and summer school sessions, but otherwise have been pretty dull.
