Silly me
I realized just now that I had promised to show the Ubiquitous Windmill Bag. I call it that because practically everybody at the LYS has made it, and I'm late to that party! At a recent gathering, some of the knitters were using them and showing them to each other... and because I can't leave any bag un-knit, I had to look up the pattern (on Ravelry) and the next thing I knew... there it was. It's basicallly four panels of garter stitch knit with cotton yarn, finished with some i-cord, and joined flat in a windmill pattern. Then, you sew up the sides, knot the cords, and voy-lah, bag. If you make them large enough (I didn't) they make great shopping bags or project bags. I think mine might end up as a gift, but I'm not sure for whom yet.
