Old things, new thing

Have I shown you this?  It's a knitted bracelet I made in a class with the Amazing A--.  It was my birthday present to myself this summer.  I love it and am planning on making a couple of these for Christmas presents.

I don't think I've shown you this one, either.  It's modeled on one that's on exhibit at Jane Austen's hosue near Winchester, in England.  The original is made of very tiny beads, so tiny that I couldn't find any of similar size (that's even if I could see well enough to use them!) so this isn't an exact reproduction.  However, it looks very much like the original and has the same spirit.  I love wearing it.

I know you haven't seen this one.  It's a closeup of a little piece of my Neck Down Swing Cardi, which is going really well.  I'm moving pretty quickly with it, for using DK yarn.  It's top-down, so it starts fast and then the knitting begins to crawl.  I'm at the point where the increases are all finished, the sleeves have been put on yarn to hold them, and the body of the sweater is under way.  If you click on the link and look at the picture, I'm at about the point of being below the top button.

The yarn is that New Lanark Donegal Silk/Tweed I bought about three years ago, so you could say that this is a stash-buster.  It will take all of the fourteen balls of this yarn that I bought, and I'm glad to put them to such a lovely use.
