Just keep on knitting

I'd show you pictures of the Autmny Socks, and of the current Sock In Progress, but for some reason the blog won't let me put anything up.  There must have been some kind of "update" to the system, which can't mean anything good.  (Edited to add: Well, it's fixed, and the update allows me to do interesting things with the layout... so I guess you can call this an uneasy truce, for now.)

At any rate, I've been knitting up a storm lately.  The first sock of the pair "The Socks from Laramie" took me all of ten days from start to finish, even with two idle days in there.  I don't know what it is about that Scholler and Stahl self-striping Mexiko yarn, but it always flies off the needles when I use it.  I don't know why I don't seek out and buy more of it... except that I'm planning to move, and want to stick to stash yarn as much as I can for the short term.

The Neck Down Swing Cardi is almost finished.  I've begun one of the sleeves, and if I'd stick to that project for a while I'd zoom on through it.  However, solid stockinette in a single color DK weight yarn gets to one after a while.  I'll probably power on through with it after finishing the second Laramie sock.

Okay, blog updated... what's next?  Figuring out this photo thing.
