On the road again

...which means I have wireless access and can update my blog!  I finished the Louet Northern Lights roving, finally.  That was a nice, long, satisfying spin and the yarn turned out beautifully.

The name of this color combination is "Picasso."  I liked it enough to wish I had more, so I could turn out more than 130 yards of the yarn.  A spinning wheel would make quick work of this roving, should I care to turn my hand to it.  Right now, I've got more Northern Lights on the spindle, this time in "Caramel Apple."  No pictures of that yet, but here's the finished Picasso for you to appreciate.

It has occurred to me that it has been ages, years, since I last posted about what we have been watching chez Orchard Ranch.  Our Netflix account has been very busy!  Most recently, we have been enjoying Garrow's Law, a period legal drama about a British barrister who changed the way court cases are tried.  According to the legal historian and consultant who helped write the series, the stories are based on real eighteenth century cases tried at the Old Bailey/ in London.  It's well-done, interesting, and like everything else of quality, the BBC has decided to cancel the program after three wildly popular and successful seasons.

And of course, there has to be another reason for the mention of this program here at Orchard Ranch -- the main character, William Garrow, is played by Andrew Buchan, and Andy rocks a tricorne.

Enough said, eh?
