A quick report
This will be another fly-by post; four weeks in, I'm still really busy with school and haven't had a real day off yet. That said, so far my classes are great and I'm having a blast with them.
It looks like the A&E network has cancelled Longmire, its most successful program, and that after attracting and "hooking" legions of fans. Other networks are looking at picking it up, and I hope they do and make a bazillion dollars off of it. Honest ta pete. This isn't the first time that A&E has broken hearts by cancelling a good program, but maybe the furor on Facebook will convince it that it should be their last. I haven't heard that they're cancelling Duck Dynasty, a move that might be seen as being in the realm of service to humanity. Even WalMart has begun putting DD products in the bargain bins, which could be an indicator of how long the program will remain relevant (if it ever was).
All aforementioned knits are still in progress. I've got a few more inches done on the cardigan body, and I haven't allowed myself to work on anything else. I'd like to put some bracelets together for the Horatians, who are having their yearly get-together in Florida next week, but I'm not allowing myself to make them until I have The One Paper finished and to the commenter. Yes, I'm still writing that -- talk about a complete lack of inspiration. However, I have found some interesting parts that could be worked up into Research of Some Significance, but not before I have to read it to an audience, which is next week. At any rate, I only have about three pages left to carve out, and I'll be working on that once I put this blog down and get back to work (writing these posts sometimes warms up my writing muscles, or at least that's what I tell myself).
Okay, back to work. I'll surface again when this bad boy is finished.
