For some reason, I'm no longer able to put photos in my posts here unless I use Firefox on this computer. Huh. I'll try later from my new home laptop and see what I get.
Note, please, the progress I've made on this year's Christmas sock. The colors aren't too accurate - what looks like lavender in the image above is actually a very nice sky blue, and some of the brighter yellows are a peridot green. No matter what, I'm nearly finished with the first sock and will hopefully do the rest of the toe this evening, after dinner and after what's going to be a particularly difficult meeting.
On top of all of this, I have a cold that's making me sloggy and gasping for air. Ooh, I'd so much rather be knitting this sock than having to chair that meeting.
Yesterday, while working on a study guide for my class, I fell asleep at the keyboard. When I awoke, I saw that I'd fallen asleep with my finger too near the "delete" key, and had cleared the document. Rescue came in the form of the "restore" button, but for a minute there I was ready to just give it all up and go back to bed.
Which is what I'm going to do now, until it's time for that meeting.
