Another cheep

Just sticking my head in here to engage in another tiny bit of procrastination... for some reason, in one of my courses, I have had one heck of a time grading their essays.  I think it might be because no matter how much I mark up their work, no matter what I put down as a comment, they keep making the same mistakes and turning in badly edited work.  I think I've hit the "why am I still doing this?" point.

Meanwhile, I have made a plan for my end-of-year knitting.  First, I will finish the second Staffordshire mitten, because I'm >that< close.  Second, I will keep plugging away at the front band for Jupiter, because I'm going to finish it, period.  Third, I will finish the Lavender Lace Scarf, because I am >--that--< close to the end.  Finally, I want to finish the White Caps Cowl.  My remaining WIPs in Ravelry include two that have been there forever -- the Pi Shawl (2009) and the Antique Scarf (2008), which I think has dangled at the end of my yarn in the Knitter's Black Hole more than once.  There are also two socks in the WIP pile, one of which will probably be frogged and the yarn repurposed (fingerless mitts?  A shawlette?).  And then there's the second half of the Victory Turban, which was started two years ago as part of a knitalong (hello, kiss of death to projects) and the first half finished six months later.  I could pick this one up again.

One thing I really need to do is to put the White Caps Cowl on a really long circular needle, and then try it on to see how much room I have to do decreases.  In looking at other examples, I began to think that this project needs a little bit of shaping to sit correctly around one's neck, but I can't forget about the head circumference I'm dealing with -- my own.

Okay, procrastination time is up.  I need to finish grading the last three papers for this class before I meet with them in two hours (and receive one last stack of essays).
