Actually, I have a stack of grading to do and I'm procrastinating. I understand from the internets that this is a fairly common strategy among academics -- linger around the 'Nets, update one's blog, look at Twitter.
The front band for Jupiter is just a couple of inches away from being half done. That's good news, because usually when I crest the hill and start the downhill march on projects, they tend to go more quickly. Also, I started the second Staffordshire Mitten and it's zooming right along, or at least it seems to be. I am trying one of the recommendations for knitting jogless stripes on this second one, and it seems to be better but it's still not perfect. Do I need perfection? Not sure. But a new pair of mittens would be nice.
Oh, hey, I just thought of something... I need to put a chicken in the crock pot. If I put it on now, it will be finished cooking right around our dinner time. Ooh! That's a way to delay having to work on these exams for another ten minutes. Good idea.
