So we didn't get to Regional City after all. The Emperor woke up with another one of those headaches and I took him to the emergency room. All tests came up okay, but it took them a little too long to give him effective pain medication. Once I brought him home, he spent the rest of the day in bed asleep, and almost all of yesterday.
Meanwhile, I had started to get a few minor symptoms of a cold, so yesterday I took the day entirely off from everything. I drank tea and watched documentaries on You Tube. This morning, both of us are feeling more like ourselves but I'm more frustrated than ever with how the house isn't coming together. I think I'll try to come up with a "Plan B" and start it in motion because "Plan A" isn't happening anytime soon. No matter what, dusting and vacuuming needs to happen in the living room; I had been waiting to get things cleaned up because we were going to have new furniture at any moment but that moment has long passed.
Another thing I probably need to do is to get up to my office and figure out some readings for my more advanced course and get them copied or otherwise available to the students. I guess I'd better finish off my Labor Day weekend by doing some labor. Later, I'll get out some knitting and have a little fun.
