This and that

Here's a knitting formula that's making a small ripple in Fiber Blog Land. You have to turn your sound on to fully appreciate the situation.

The first meeting of the Stitch and Munch Bunch came off all right. There were four of us there, and I know more will come as we get established (and they remember to bring their projects). E-- was knitting a toy dog out of some nice cotton, and she had a really cute knitting bag that I'm trying to figure out how to re-create from stash fabric. J-- worked on a huge crocheted afgan for her daughter, out of purple suede and eyelash yarn (picked out by the daughter, by the way). K-- had her latest Jaywalker in progress. One of our colleagues walked by and remarked that we looked like a "tight knit group." Of course we groaned.

When I get those two bags off the needles, I think I'll finish the Ombre Hombre sock before taking on anything new. Unless something else grabs me, I think up next will be the Sienna Cardigan out of my stash tweed, and Truly Tasha's Shawl in that Knitpicks heathered yarn I ordered recently. There is already another sock on the needles (the Crayon socks) but I'm pointedly not working on them until I have the Hombres done. So, the total will be a sweater, a medium-sized mindless project, and a sock in progress. At the rate I knit, that should put me into, say... April, don't you think? With only a change of socks, probably.
