Sticks in the harbor! Today I'm blogging live and direct from San Diego. I put on my French Sailor's Shirt this morning and we visited the Maritime Museum, so I have a camera chock full of great ship photos. I also bought a boatswain's pipe so be forewarned that I'm armed and ready for adventure. Everybody had just better be Darned Grateful that this blog doesn't come with audio function! There was some LYS action today as well. The Emperor and I visited the Grove, a great yarn/funky clothes/book store in my father's neighborhood and I purchased my first ever ball of Rowan yarn -- "4 ply soft" in color 392. the EZasPi listserve is doing an online gansey workshop, and to get started I needed a smooth wool in a single color. This Rowan is small and smooth, and it's in that lovely salmon Jackie Kennedy pink that I'd like to use to trim a black Chanel-style jacket someday. Full report on the yarn's performance when I put it to use.
Oh, I can't wait to share those photos of the ships in the harbor, but I'd better save them for future Eye Candy Fridays.
