Although there has been a major change or two in my life recently, I'm trying to maintain a semblance of a normal life. I'm getting pretty good at the lawnmowing thing; when I was a kid I did the lawns all the time for my dad, but since the Emperor and I have been together it's been his job. Now that I'm home during the day, I'm the main mower. The back yard looks pretty danged good, if I do say so myself.
One silly thing I've done -- I found a DVD collection of Beverly Hillbillies episodes. Of course I brought it home, because nothing says "childhood summer" to me like the adventures of the Clampett family in the mean streets of Beverly. There are forty episodes in all (not bad for five bucks, eh?) and they're the old black-and-white ones. I figure, if I watch one a day Monday through Friday, they'll last all summer long.
I haven't been knitting as much as one would think I would, being home all day. I spend my mornings taking care of business, searching the job ads, things like that, and have lunch with The Emperor. After lunch, I work on a long-term project that's been hanging over my head for a while. So, while I'm not indulging in binge knitting I did finish the first Tofutsie sock and have made some wonderful progress on the Lotus Tank.
That, at least, is something.
