Remember what I said a couple of weeks ago about improvements to my job? I take it all back, and then some. Let me just say that a locational move is in the forseeable future for the hardy denizens of Orchard Ranch. Meanwhile, let's get back to the knitting.
I've had a very stressful couple of weeks, so it's with great surprise that I report the easy and quick progress I'm making on the lace portion of the Lotus Tank. Yep, I'm making mistakes but I'm not only catching them, I'm fixing them! It's going so smoothly that I'm even thinking of stash diving into the laceweights and making another try at the Leaf Lace Shawl. I tried to start it a number of times in summer 2005 with sport weight yarn, but never got further than nineteen rows before committing a fatal error. Three years later, I'm a better knitter so might be able to make some real progress on it. But first, I need to finish Lotus and the Celtic Tote. I should probably frog the Pi Shawl and start it again, too, before starting another lace shawl, but right now there are no guarantees of what I might do with my yarn.
But for the moment, I think I need a cup of tea.
