Here's another "check in" post, like so many others I've written recently.
The tenure file? Done, and turned in.
The weeding in the front yard? Almost done. I ran out of time yesterday because I wanted to attend an event in town. I'm going to finish today.
Mowing the back yard? Hopefully today. I need to do a little clean-up before I can mow, and mowing needs to happen before this afternoon, when it is slated to rain. I think I heard thunder a minute ago.
Later... did the yard clean up, mowed both front and back, and did most of the remaining weeding in the front. The Emperor was worried that it was going to rain, so I knocked off, cleaned up, and did other chores.
The dishcloth? Almost done. I'm still making mistakes but I have been catching them right away and fixing them before I have to tink masses of knitting. I'll probably finish it tonight.
The Colt Cardi? Still in the drawer. Didn't order any CotLin, either. The washcloth is still in the yarn bowl.
Guest bedroom? Still in the same state, although I have been looking for a clothes rack.
Bookshelves? Hmm, might have to order them online and have them delivered. It may be cheaper in the long run, instead of renting a cargo van, staying overnight, and then all of that driving with a big carry-in at the end of it. This one I am still researching.
Later... I did that research for the bookshelves, to the tune of figuring out how many will fit in the space. I hope the Emperor is going to be up for a trip to IKEA next weekend...
I also have yet to call the senior services in my dad's hometown.
First week of school? Done and dusted. Next weekend is Labor Day; we might go to Over There Regional City for a last hurrah before buckling down for the duration, but it will depend on the Emperor's headaches.
Saturday of Labor Day Weekend... We ended up spending about four hours in the emergency room today because the Emperor got another one of those headaches ... 'nuff said.
Well, I've finished one more thing: this "check in" post.
