Knitting still going on... I have a couple of inches of body on that French Market Bag now. Once I got past knitting the base and started the body, it moved much faster since it's all circular knitting until you start the handles. So I have about six inches of brainless knitting ahead of me before I have to think about it again.
The second sleeve of Pellew's Pelisse is also moving along. I anticipate finishing this sweater before the end of the year. It will probably happen much sooner but I don't want to overestimate my speed (or underestimate my powers of procrastination). I have learned so much from doing this sweater! I can't wait to wear it! When this project is finished, I plan to take the leftover yarn (about two and a half skeins, 260 yards each) and knit wooly hats from it.
The sock is still small but it's growing.
My next large project is still completely undecided. I did some stash diving and found that the 1500 yards of soft superwash pink worsted I purchased in August is enough to do the Sienna Cardigan, or it's enough to do the Garter Ridge cardigan from the May 2006 Creative Knitting. Garter Ridge is basically a stockinette cardi with regular horizontal ridges formed with garter stitch, and there are lace sections at the hems, so the cool pink would probably be a good choice.
I consider the Tasha shawl a medium project, on a par with the French Market Bag.
Whatever Large Project turns out to be, I'll try to make it a Stash Reduction Exercise. I wonder if I have enough of that Ballybrae Tweed to do the Sienna cardi...? When I have it all figured out, I'll update the sidebar to let the world know.
Well, I'm off to the races like a herd of turtles.
