It's Friday, and about time, too

This reproduction of the brig Niagara is moored at Erie, Pennsylvania. There's a very cool museum there, too, a feast for the eyes of historic naval nuts like me. Happy Eye Candy Friday!

I'm busy as heck this week, and my eyes have been too tired to do much for knitting at night. However, the body of the Emperor's seamless hybrid is just a skotch away from being at the point where I have to put it down and actually do the sleeves. No sock progress to report, but I did receive Rowan 40 while I was away and I've been doing some virual yarn shopping to figure out what might work for the Juno sweater. It's going to take a while to make up my mind, because I'd like to use something besides wool for it; wool on my skin is itchy, and I'd like to be able to wear short sleeves under this sweater.

It's not like I don't have a pile of other projects to work on. I have a lot of craft itches to scratch, and virtual shopping helps, especially when I figure in cost including shipping. But oh, that Rowan 40 has so many gorgeous sweaters in it. Some I wouldn't wear on a bet, but some of them I can see myself in (that's the topic of one of the articles, too, seeing yourself in somebody's design). It's the eternal lure of the saxon braid.
